ENAVE is Notified Body No. 2406, based in Fano (PU). Established to create new forms of value, it operates in the recreational boating and industrial sectors with professional integrity, technical expertise, and intellectual independence. The core value that guides ENAVE’s activities is “INTEGRITAS, PERITIA, LIBERTAS.”
Recognized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, ENAVE aims to be a point of reference for naval and industrial technical culture in Italy and abroad.
History and founders
The company was founded in 2010 by naval engineers Giuseppe Macolino and Francesco Prinzivalli, with the aim of creating a multifaceted structure capable of precisely meeting the needs of the European technical landscape. Giuseppe Macolino gained his experience designing and supervising luxury yachts at leading global shipyards; Francesco Prinzivalli developed his expertise in the military and civil naval sectors, in project management of work vessels, and in the construction of port infrastructure.
Nautical Sector
As a Notified Body, ENAVE is authorized to conduct conformity assessment procedures for the CE Marking (Directive 2013/53/EU) and to carry out inspection visits for the issuing and renewal of Safety Certificates .
Industrial Sector
Since 2025, ENAVE has extended its expertise to the industrial sector, obtaining authorization to operate as a Notified Body for the Machinery Directive (Directive 2006/42/EU) and the Noise Directive (OND) (Directive 2000/14/EU).
Internationalization and Global Partnership
Through the strategic agreement with Wanve Inspection & Certification Group , a leading certification company based in Hangzhou, ENAVE has accelerated its internationalization process.
In 2025, ENAVE opened its Shanghai headquarters and an office in Milan , consolidating the company’s role as a strategic partner between Asia and Europe. Direct presence in the Asian market allows our engineers to conduct source audits and inspections, supporting manufacturers in their compliance with European Directives and ensuring rigorous quality control throughout the certification process.
